Hermes
Hermes is the typewriter brand of Paillard, based in Yverdon-les-Bains, Switzerland. The Hermes Baby, launched in 1935, was one of the first truly compact portables: slim enough to slip into a suitcase, it travelled with generations of writers. The Hermes 3000, with its sea-foam green body and famously soft touch, is now one of the most sought-after typewriters in the world.
Every Hermes we sell is restored in our workshop: full mechanical cleaning, adjustment of the typing action and line spacing, new ribbon. Each machine leaves tested and ready to type, and the keyboard layout (AZERTY, QWERTY or QWERTZ) is always stated on the listing.
