Hermes Baby typewriter, manufactured in Switzerland around 1944 by Paillard. An exceptional model that embodies postwar Swiss craftsmanship, combining mechanical precision, durability, and timeless elegance.
The typewriter has been fully restored in a workshop: thoroughly cleaned, degreased, and the mechanisms lubricated. A new black ribbon is included with the typewriter, so it’s ready to use upon receipt.
It types remarkably well; the keystrokes are smooth and precise—a true pleasure to use. Aesthetically, it is in excellent condition—remarkable for a machine of this age. The casing is well-maintained and in good shape, a testament to a life spent in good hands.
