Hermes Baby typewriter, made in Switzerland around 1944 by Paillard. An exceptional model that embodies post-war Swiss craftsmanship, combining mechanical precision, sturdiness and timeless elegance.

The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new black ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.

It writes remarkably well — the touch is soft and precise, a genuine pleasure to use. Cosmetically it is in very fine condition, remarkable for a machine of its age. The body is well cared for and well preserved, the sign of a life spent in good hands.

The T and S keys are slightly damaged, which does not hinder its working order in any way.

It is at once a sought-after collector’s piece — this colourway is very rare — an excellent writing tool and a piece of vintage decor that will find its place naturally in a loft, an office or any interior with a retro feel.

Sold with its original metal carrying case, in very good condition.
