Description
Hermes Baby typewriter, made in Switzerland around 1944 by Paillard. An exceptional model that embodies post-war Swiss craftsmanship, combining mechanical precision, sturdiness and timeless elegance.
The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new black ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.
It writes beautifully and the impression is smooth and pleasant. Cosmetically it carries a few natural marks from its age — traces of a long life well lived, which only add to its character and its authenticity.
It is at once a sought-after collector’s piece, an excellent writing tool and a piece of vintage decor that will find its place naturally in a loft, an office or any interior with a retro feel.
Sold with its original metal carrying case, in very good condition.
