Description
Hermes Baby typewriter, made in Switzerland in the late 1960s by Paillard. Built entirely of metal, it is Swiss engineering at its purest — known for its sturdiness and its build quality. Compact and light, it kept generations of writers and travellers company across the world.
The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new two-colour ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.
It is in very good condition, both mechanically and cosmetically. Every mechanism responds with precision and the body is perfectly preserved for a machine of its age.
It is at once a sought-after collector’s piece, an excellent writing tool and a superb piece of vintage decor — ideal for writing letters, notes or poems far from a screen. A digital manual is available on request.
Sold with its original metal carrying case, perfectly suited to taking it with you.
