About the brand
Erika
Erika is the portable typewriter brand of Seidel & Naumann, in Dresden. The first folding Erikas date from 1910; pre-war models (Erika 5, M) are slim, elegant machines, and production continued after 1945 in East Germany with sturdy, well-built portables into the 1980s.
We restore Erikas with care, including the early models: cleaning, typing and carriage adjustment, new ribbon, test before shipping. The keyboard (often QWERTZ or AZERTY depending on the original market) is stated on each listing.
