About the brand
Olivetti
Founded in 1908 in Ivrea, Piedmont, Olivetti turned the typewriter into a design object. The Lettera 22 drawn by Marcello Nizzoli, its successor the Lettera 32, the Studio 44 or Ettore Sottsass’s flamboyant red Valentine sit in museum collections, and remain excellent machines for everyday writing.
We select healthy examples, then strip, clean and adjust them in our workshop. Typing action, carriage, tabulator, ribbon: everything is checked before shipping. Most of our Olivettis have an AZERTY keyboard; the exact layout is stated on each listing.
