Erika Model 4 typewriter, manufactured in 1923 by Seidel & Naumann in Germany. An exceptional and extremely rare piece from one of the most iconic lines of typewriters in history, the first version of which dates back to 1910. Of the approximately 90,000 Erika folding typewriters produced in series 1 through 4, each model is today a true testament to pre-war German mechanical engineering.

The machine has been fully restored in-house: complete cleaning, degreasing, and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new ribbon is included with the machine, ready for use upon receipt.
The black finish is remarkably well-preserved; it shines as if it had just left the factory—an exceptional condition for a machine nearly 100 years old.

Sold in its elegant wooden case covered in the original brown fabric, showing signs of wear both inside and out.
