About the brand
Underwood
Underwood is one of the founding brands of the modern typewriter: the Underwood No. 5, built from the 1900s in the United States, set the standard for visible typing. After joining forces with Olivetti in 1959, the brand offered European-made portables in the 1970s, such as the Underwood 18, 315 and 319, with clean lines and bold colours.
Our Underwoods are stripped, cleaned and adjusted in our workshop, then tested line after line. New ribbon, carriage and line spacing checked, keyboard layout stated on the listing.
