Olympia Splendid 66 cream and black typewriter, manufactured in West Germany in 1970 by Olympia Werke AG. A compact and lightweight model with the sleek design typical of the 1970s, as elegant as it is efficient.

The machine has been fully restored in-house: thoroughly cleaned, degreased, and the mechanisms lubricated. A new ribbon is included with the machine, ready to use upon receipt. All keys respond perfectly and the carriage operates smoothly. Note: on a few black characters, the bottom of the letter prints slightly in red (see typing test photo); this does not affect the machine’s proper functioning in any way. Its cream finish with black keys gives it a retro-chic aesthetic that will make a statement in both an office and a creative space.

It is both an excellent writing tool and a superb vintage decorative piece, perfect for enthusiasts of fine mechanics as well as collectors.

Sold with its carrying case in fair condition, featuring a plastic defect on the top, clearly visible in the photos.
