Description
Japy P.951 typewriter in white and light blue, made in France by Japy. A compact, portable desk model with an elegant two-tone design set off by a few chrome finishes.
The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new two-colour ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.
It is in very good cosmetic condition and works beautifully. The AZERTY keyboard is soft and pleasant under the fingers, and the carriage glides perfectly. It is fitted with a lovely script typeface, giving slightly rounded writing that is easy on the eye, visible in the photographs.
Please note: the logo on the letter R is slightly damaged and the one on the letter M has worn away entirely, with no effect whatsoever on how the machine works.
Sold with its original instruction manual in good condition — a rarity collectors appreciate — together with its black imitation-leather carrying case, almost as new.
