Red Consul 231 Typewriter – AZERTY

Description

Consul typewriter in red, model 231, made in Czechoslovakia in 1970. A compact, elegant model whose brilliant red makes it immediately recognisable and sought after by collectors.

The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new black ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.

It is in very good working order. The AZERTY keyboard is soft and pleasant under the fingers, and every mechanism responds perfectly.

Its gilded Consul logo is quite simply magnificent — it contrasts elegantly with the machine’s red finish and gives it an extra touch of character.

It is both an excellent writing tool and a superb piece of vintage decor, perfect for a desk or an interior with a confident retro style.

Sold with its original leather carrying case, in very good condition.
