About the brand
Consul
Consul is the portable typewriter brand of Zbrojovka Brno, in Czechoslovakia. The Consul 221, 222, 231 and 232 of the 1950s to 1970s are sturdy machines with simple, well-designed mechanics and bodies in often surprising colours.
We restore them in our workshop: cleaning, typing adjustment, new ribbon, test before shipping. The keyboard (QWERTZ, QWERTY or AZERTY depending on the market) is stated on each listing.
