Corona Standard typewriter, made in the United States in 1943, in the middle of the Second World War. An exceptional piece of history, produced at a time when every gram of chrome was reserved for the war effort. This model is distinguished by an almost complete absence of bright chrome: the sides of the carriage, the paper supports and all the internal mechanisms are entirely black — a unique characteristic that makes it a particularly rare and sought-after collector’s piece.

The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.

It is in excellent working order. The AZERTY keyboard is soft and pleasant under the fingers, and every mechanism responds perfectly.

This is far more than a typewriter: it is a direct witness to American industrial history during the war, as fascinating for a collector as for anyone who loves history.

Sold with its original carrying case, which carries the marks of time and of a long life well lived.
