Description

Hermes Baby typewriter in green, made in Switzerland in 1967 by Paillard. Light and compact, it is built from a plastic that was unusually tough for its day, giving it remarkable sturdiness while keeping its vintage charm entirely intact.

The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.

It writes beautifully and the impression is smooth and pleasant. Its cosmetic condition is rather lovely for its age. There is slight discolouration on the space bar, visible in the photographs, with no effect on how the machine works. It is fitted with an Elite typeface.
