Description

Hermes Baby typewriter in white, made in Switzerland in 1967 by Paillard. Light and compact, it is built from a plastic that was unusually tough for its day, giving it remarkable sturdiness while keeping its vintage charm entirely intact.

The machine has been fully restored in our workshop: thorough cleaning, degreasing and lubrication of the mechanisms. A new ribbon comes fitted, so it is ready to use the moment it arrives.

It writes beautifully and the impression is smooth and pleasant. Its cosmetic condition is lovely for its age, and it has been well looked after. It is fitted with a cubic Elite typeface.

Please note that the plastic is damaged beneath the carriage on the left-hand side, visible in the photographs, with no effect whatsoever on how the machine works.
