Description

Erika Mod. 10 typewriter from the 1960s, manufactured in the German Democratic Republic (GDR) by Erika Schreibmaschinen. This is an iconic model, renowned for its exceptional design and outstanding robustness.

The build quality of Erika machines from this period is impressive. Where many manufacturers used stamped sheet metal panels, Erika opted for cast alloy panels, offering remarkable strength and durability. Made entirely of metal, this machine exudes a real sense of precision and reliability. It is in good overall condition, with some visible paint defects on the front left corner and right side, natural marks due to its age, which do not affect its operation or charm.

This machine has been completely overhauled, cleaned, and fitted with a new ribbon. It is therefore ready for use upon receipt. It writes smoothly, is very comfortable to type on, and has a particularly impressive mechanism, notably thanks to a small button that opens the hood, just like a car. Ideal for writing letters, poems, or notes, it offers a unique writing experience, far removed from the digital world. A digital manual in PDF format can be provided on request.

Features:

Keyboard: French AZERTY
Dimensions: 28 × 30 × 10 cm
Weight: 5 kg
Construction: entirely metal
Origin: German Democratic Republic (GDR)

Practical, sturdy, and elegant, the Erika Mod. 10 perfectly combines utility and vintage aesthetics.
